BuyTheBest never charges you more in one calendar month than your ceiling for that month, in rand excluding VAT. A charge that would go past it is held, not sent, and shown below. Raising your ceiling during the month releases this month's held charges; at the month's end anything still held is forfeited: it is never charged, and raising your ceiling later does not change that. When this month reaches 80% of it we warn you here. Charges reach your Shopify bill in US dollars because Shopify bills South African stores in USD.

Rand to dollars

Your agreement is in rand. Each charge is converted at the South African Reserve Bank's rand-to-dollar rate for the first business day of the month, plus 2%, to a thousandth of a US cent (never rounded up to a whole cent). On your Shopify invoice the charges appear as , one unit per US cent. A commission is charged only once the sale has cleared its 30-day hold, and once cleared it is final.
